WBW: What up Hafiz, you're on WBW's interview spotlight mini segment. What have you been up to lately?

Hafiz: Hey man, thanks for having me. I've been busy trying to put out the tee designs, taking photos, scratching (kinda have a new project in place but we'll wait for that one) and also trying my hardest to find time to skate.

WBW: Yeah!! We miss you skating with us!! So tell us how did Terrorkota start?

Hafiz: I know dude! I totally miss skating with my homies man..

Well, basically i just wanted an outlet where i can put together the things i loved doing! Namely scratching, shooting and skateboarding man. So after a while, i just conceptualised terrorkota as something for all of us to be proud of, no matter where you're from and who you represent, you know what i mean?

So at the end of the day, i'm just glad i was able to do all that like a year plus ago, and now, even though National Service is taking up most of my time, i will still find time to do all that cos it makes me happy.

WBW: Wow! Thats nice of terrorkota.. 'Skate not Hate'!!! So tell us abit about the Terrorkota Riders... Why them?



Hafiz: Yeah man, all love bro! Hmm... the skateboarding team guys were kinda handpicked cos they represented a certain style of skateboarding that I, personally saw as something unique for me, they all have that certain 'soul' that you know, kinda makes them look good on a skateboard.

And especially when they skate like 100 times better than i ever will, man, im kinda like their secret fan BUT at the end of the day, all i wanted was to bring a bunch of guys, who truly loved skateboarding together, and hopefully use terrorkota as a platform for them to achieve bigger things in skateboarding in their near future.

WBW: Yeah!!! WBW loves your riders!! Especially Farid and Syed!! Both sick ass buttery skaters with tricks and style!!

Hafiz: Hahahaha, Yeahhhh... and plus, all of them are really nice.. they dig WBW too man! thats how sick it is...

WBW: So tell us what is a typical weekend for Mr Terrorkota?

Hafiz: Hahahah! I'm just hafiz bro, and you know me.. erm.. Since i have work every single day, 8-5 in the army, the weekend is where i try to do the most of my stuff. Sometimes i try to skate on the fridays (with you guys!), not lately though cos I've been scratching alot and i had a minor sprain while skating flatground by myself few weeks back.

If i don't skate, i head down to blu jaz, get some good music from some friends who play there regularly.. then head down to the studio for a good scratch session.. Sundays are days for family, friends and shooting.

Friends and family man.. they're important. I just feel sometimes i don't have the time to give them all the attention i could possibly want but i try my best.



WBW: Nice!!! Allrite. Name us 3 homeboys that you love skating with?

Hafiz: the OG homeboys from go sports would have to be RAYNIE DAWG (cos he cracks dumb stuffs that makes people laugh till they get stitches man), PI'EH DAWG (cos i skated with him everyday for 6 months after our O levels) and this is a tie, SOP and JAI...(cos i knew them since forever dude..) so thats like 4 but yeah sop and jai comes in a pair for me. Hahaha. Oh wait, i have to tie Raynie with Ahmed man! So yeah Raynie and Ahmed comes as a pair. Hahahaha... Sorry man, i love my homies.

WBW: Ok. Now, Kickfliping Forum or Getting laid?

Hafiz: Kickflipping forum dude. I wish i could though.

WBW: Jazzy Jai!! You represent the new school and the old of Go Sports. Thus we were wondering what is your take on the old school and the new school?

JazzyJai: uh, new school's more progressive skating than old school.

WBW: In any sense and why not name us 3 of your homeboys from WBW that you would txt to skate?

JazzyJai: Hafiz.. (watched him grow), eusoff.. (nice dude, hopefully becomes my cousin in-law) and raynie.... can't think of anything bout him.. itchy balls? done... 3 dudes

WBW: We understand you re getting married and WBW is looking forward to the big day. Is there any thoughts of quit skating?

JazzyJai: It's been bugging me for a while.. on and off thingy but can't seem to brush it off of my system.. addicted to skating.. love the sport, the culture too much!

i'll be serious married man but still have fun skating once a while.

WBW: We heard you kickflipped onto a ping pong table years ago..and we at WBW knows you got one of the best pops around! But after all these years of skating, what is your personal expectations or beliefs when you step on a board? now and then?

JazzyJai: Never changed still... just enjoy the skating session. don't push beyond your own limit. if you can land the flip up the table, good for you. Personal achievement attained... but if you can't, it's okay.. just laugh it off with the 3 dudes you sk8ed with.

maybe i'll try the flip up the table again, the table still there right?

WBW: Yea but i think a couple of pigeons made love there and left some dirty stains.But if you could land a trick b4 you quit.what are you gona pull off?

JazzyJai: ..always a dream... i'll end my skating life with a hydrant ollie with photos and all... i want to show it to my kid.

WBW: Speaking of family and things that are not necessarily associated with just skating, where do you find inspiration in other aspects of your life. It's easy to assume that you just skate and you hold, but are you involved or interested in anything else with the same passion? And do those things ever enter into your profession or push it forward. ?

JazzyJai: Skating came into my life when i was pretty serious bout music. the sense of belonging that i had with the go sports guys back then was so great that i quit my guitar lessons at yamaha.. i had more fun skating with them guys than playing guitar alone.. still, music will always be great passion of mine.. be it playing a guitar or just listening to music.. thanks to my dad for the influence.but soon, raising my own family will be another passion of mine... can't wait for that too

WBW: Its good to know that our Jazzy Jai is Family man!!!You ve been skating for more than a decade, and you ve probably seen it all.. among all which local skater is worth a mention?

JazzyJai: taufik ang mo kio, switch hardflip down 6 back in '97.. no one can beat that!

WBW: We 're curious...back in '97 in go sports.. theres no flat bars and fun boxes what do you guys skate and where?

JazzyJai: street skating... concrete jungle.. curbs, stairs, benches.. across the road.. perfect skating spot for hours of fun and no one can stop you or nag at you..

Eusoff: Nothing... Sleep, Eat, Chill and skate if Ahmed skates... that's about it.

WBW: So, Where do you live now?

Eusoff: Where?? is that a trick question?? wahahaha...jurongggggg...cobras....weet weet weet weet weeeeeew!!

WBW: Westside huh? So how long have you been living in Jurong?

Eusoff: All my life!!!!!

WBW: So tell us, When and why did you started skating?

Eusoff: Hmmm.. its pretty funny if i thought of it back.... when i was in Sec 1, my school mates all wanted to start skating cause of this Sec 3 guy.. so they were kinda asking me to join them.. then i kinda talked shit and said i skated too but actually i didn't.. but my elder bro skates so i kinda know what they were talking about.. so I wanted to be cool and i joined them! hahaha. For your info, out of all those who started skating with me .. i'm the only one who still skates! haha!



WBW: Nice!!!! Last man standing!! So when you started out.. was there a certain skater, local or pro, u looked up to?

Eusoff: Hmm... Daewon Song was the first PRO i got stoked on! Local.. i don't think so.

WBW: Ok.. you sound like a tough guy. So how did you ended up with Go Sports?

Eusoff: Tough guy? Ahahaaa... My school mates were the ones who wanted to skate there.. so i just went with the flow cause they are the only people i skated with.

WBW: Who do you think people should look out for in the local skating scene?

Eusoff: Right now?

WBW: Yeah!

Eusoff: Heaps man... Heaps!

WBW: Name us one upcoming skater that you think people should take notice...

Eusoff: Hmmmm... i like to see someone who skates with style more than having mad skills! So i got to say Farid from the east and Arm from the west dawg!!

WBW: How bout Jup the champ? You skate with him.. Not too impressed with him? He's been getting alot of positive vibes.

Eusoff: Oh yah!! AND of course jup!! Sorry jup! Jup got his own style man!! look out for his killa hands!! ahahaha!! And it's sad though cause he wasn't in the WBW video part of the year... hmm, i wonder why.. i would vote for him easily man.

Eusoff: A typical day will be.. wake up, online, Berrics.com, webleedwood.com, eat then sleep again then skate...if i'm not skating then ill go out...yeahh thats about it.

Eusoff: Another trick question? wahahhaa... go sports... i'm a ledge person.. u give me a buttery ass ledge, enough space and a nice ground, u can see me skating there every day!

WBW: Alot of guys we know (both Eastsiders and Westsiders) have had complimented on your smooth but yet aggressive skating style.. can you tell us what is your style all about?

Eusoff: Really? i always thought my style suck ass man... i dunno, maybe from watching skatevids?
